For over 25 years, I have been teaching yoga, dance and movement classes to students of all ages. I love helping people find peace, power and connection through their expressive and relaxed body. My techniques have been formed first from my training as a dancer and choreographer but also influenced by the birth of my two children, their development and my study of various Yoga styles, Pilates and other somatic practices.
My classes are uniquely custom for each individual or group in front of me. With my diverse experience teaching through the ages and various populations, I use breathe as the guide with Iyengar elements of alignment mixed with a conscious use of flow sequencing, core work and a healthy dose of playfulness and movement to help students find a balance between effort and ease in their movement practice.
When appropriate, I infuse my sessions with hands on adjustments, gentle touch assists and a lengthy final relaxation.
I practice the belief that Movement and Mindfulness are healing practices that everyone can benefit from and everyone should have access to. I do my best to consciously live and work through an anticolonist, antiracist, feminist framework.
CLASSES OFFERED: Vinyasa Power Flow, Hot26, Pilates, Rest and Restore, Slow Flow, Moving and Healing, Prenatal, Developmental Movement and Baby Yoga, Postpartum, Toddlers Yoga and Dance, Kids Yoga, Chair/Senior, Aging Gracefully.

Nora has loved working with babies for years. Even before having her two kids in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2009 and 2011, she began studying Prenatal Yoga in NYC at Om and then Postpartum with her own babies. She continued to follow her two kids at every stage of development. As her two infants grew, she became even more curious about Developmental Movement and appropriate physical and social education for her kids. She studied with Ellynne Skove in NYC to become certified in Baby Yoga and Developmental Movement and began teaching new Moms in Brooklyn immediately. Simultaneously, she was asked to write the “Move Baby Move” curriculum for the family space in NYC formerly called “Appleseeds”. She wrote and taught the curriculum for Pre-Crawlers to Toddlers for several years. As her kids aged into Toddlerhood, Nora dove deeper into studying what environment and movement practices were best for them.
Nora continued her studies at Karma Kids Yoga, becoming certified in Kids Yoga in 2015 for ages two to teenagers and worked in NYC independent and public schools for various years teaching Theater Arts, Dance and Yoga. She was the Performing Arts Director of the German School Brooklyn for 7 years and then with the move to Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2021, she became the Movement and Yoga Specialist there for 5 years.
From 2013-2021, Nora taught at various daycares and Preschools in Brooklyn for Soul Shine Life Yoga, in the public school system for Together in Dance and most extensively at the German School Brooklyn (now the Global School Brooklyn) teaching all age kids Yoga, Dance and Theater.
From 2021-2026 Nora was the Yoga, Theater Arts and Dance Specialist and Cambridge Montessori School, teaching all students, ages 18 months-14 year olds.
Nora offers clients one-on-one help to ease pain and gain strength while also assisting for more release in the body. Each session is dependent on the students specific experience and needs but most private sessions fluctuate between effort, release, strengthening, opening and relaxation.
Whether it be Pilates, Vinyasa, Restore or Power – Nora draws from her vast experience to create a curriculum for each individual or group.
When wanted, Nora uses touch, hands on adjustments and assists within a lengthy relaxation to help realign clients spine and nervous system.
Nora works within Movement therapy and Yoga for students of various ages and specific needs.
